Chess During the School Day — K–5

Building focus, strategy, and confidence that transfer to core academics. We nurture the chess journey—from recreational play to competitive pathways—because we are the authors of Play Confidence.

Why Chess in the School Day

We don’t just offer clubs and extracurriculars—we create community and culture. Our chess‑as‑curriculum model develops strategic thinkers and confident learners while reinforcing core academics.

Focus & Strategy

Attention routines, pattern‑finding, and if–then reasoning that echo math and reading practice.

Academic Transfer

Sequencing, estimation, and evidence‑based explanation to strengthen problem‑solving.

Play Confidence

We nurture the chess journey—recreational and competitive—so students try, iterate, and grow.

FAQs

Is chess just for advanced students?

No. Our scaffolds help every child access success—from first move to first checkmate.

How does this support academics?

We practice attention routines, pattern‑finding, and explanation—the same habits used in math and ELA.

What does the school provide?

A consistent space, a point of contact, and a roster. We provide the rest.

Can we start with a pilot and decide later?

Yes—your first 4–6 weeks are free. After the pilot, the annual fee is $1,050.
