    Tuesday - Friday - 10am - 6pm

    However, hours are subject to programming.

    Our programs run on a cyclical schedule, meaning our hours shift with the season and the learning ecosystem in session.

    While we notify our members and returning customers, we strongly recommend calling ahead or checking our latest schedule online before visiting.

  • The Discovery Center is a year-round hub for learning and play, located in Stony Point Fashion Park, Richmond, VA. Originally launched as Discovery Chess, we have expanded to offer immersive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) programs alongside chess, creating a holistic environment for growth, creativity, and exploration for all ages.

  • No, but members get priority access, savings, and guaranteed seats in high-demand programs. Non-members are always welcome for select classes, camps, and community events.

  • Yes! We host drop-in labs, trial classes, and special event days throughout the year. These are great ways to explore what we do before committing to a full season or membership.
