On‑Campus Chess All Season.
Citywide Competition Once a Month.
Bring a complete chess ecosystem to your school: expert coaches, structured progressions, puzzle leaderboards, and monthly competitions that make mastery feel like play. Discovery Chess League is where Richmond schools come together to grow skill, sportsmanship, and strategic confidence.
How It Works
1) Meet On Campus
Your regular club season happens right at school—no buses, no logistics. Sessions blend lesson, puzzles, and live play, grouped by skill level.
2) Progress With Purpose
- Chess Basics I & II → solid openings, piece value, checkmate patterns
- Tactics & Strategy → forks, pins, endgames, plans
- Tournament Prep → notation, clocks, etiquette, resilience
3) Compete Monthly
Once a month, schools gather for competition day—rated or unrated flights, coach mini‑clinics, and seasonal awards. Families are welcome to cheer.
