The Discovery Chess League Tournament is back—and we’re excited to welcome players together for a rescheduled day of school pride, sportsmanship, and meaningful match play.
This scholastic-style, unrated tournament brings students from across Richmond-area schools into one shared space—many competing against peers they’ve never played before. The focus is on skill development, confidence, and community, not ratings or pressure.
Think of this event like a soccer match for chess: structured, supportive, and rooted in respect for the game and each other.
