Discovery Chess is an established provider of children’s educational chess programming.
We specialize in Engaging, discovery-based experiences for early childhood learning centers, K-8 schools, and individual students.
Our services include seasonal camps, discovery labs, workshops and Pop Up & Play events within Richmond, VA., and virtual private coaching across the globe.
EARLY CHILDHOOD CHESS
Discover Creative Chess Labs Designed to help kids ages 3 - 5 navigate common questions about the game and advance them towards play confidence. Each lab incorporates storytelling, art, motion and movement, use of hands-on manipulatives, and Whole Brain Teaching Methodologies.
K-8TH GRADE CHESS
Discover Engaging Erichment Experiences Designed To engage inherent curiosity through non-cerebral, age-appropriate, and whole-brain centered instruction, and we nurture the entire chess journey, from recreational to competitive, always placing emphasis on developmental play confidence.
CHESS COACHING
Discover Our “child-first” approach to coaching that focuses on nurturing a child’s entire chess experience rather than targeted tournament success. We hold space for brilliance, and our rated, experienced coaches and educators, prepare, equip, and guide each student towards levels of mastery.
